The second half of the trail, towards Schnebly Hill, is more challenging than the first half.

There is no best model bike Its more so size of the engine and brand. They all get good miles but bieggr the engine the less gas miles. Any brand name bike such as Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki are good. Try to stay way from that Chinese made bikes as they are hard to get serviced much less parts. There are so many Chinese company's making cheap bikes you have no idea who really made it, how to find the company or any bikes shops that even will work on them much less know where to get the parts. Though some of the Chinese 150 models are cute and work just forewarned. I know a few people who have had them. Try to find a place that sells and services them if you do that. Too many corner stores just sell them and nothing more. You can find them around $1000 new . I know it sucks as real scooters like Honda's cost double that but you can find one used. Id rather have a used Honda then a new Chinese bike. Most scooters that at the legal minimum 150cc for highway will only go 70. Trying to get a 250cc scooter will really cost you. Besides that over the legal speed limit in most areas. It is also safer not to fly around everyone so fast on the expressway. Trust me people have to see you. People never see bikes coming. One accident at 70moh and your crippled for life if your lucky. If you want a starter bike id buy a 500cc or 600cc bike. Those 250cc are rather slow and people trade them in pretty quick cause of that , so they don't have much resale value when used. But if you buy one used you can get a deal. Also Honda did make an automatic bike and can be found pretty easy when searching eBay or Craigslist. So many Japanese bikes changed a lot almost every year so at times nothing interchanges. Personally in Models Suzuki Katana are reasonable just the fairings are hard to find and cost, GSXR are basically the same but easier for body parts. Kawasaki Ninjas were common and if you find a 600E model they interchanged parts for about 8 years so easy to find body panels. Honda CBR600 s were basically the same from 91 98 as the F2 and F3 models almost everything interchanged. You can find a good used bike for $1500 if you look all day long. I at times buy broken ones and that is about what I been getting lately for decent 600 7500cc bikes.Make sure you know how to drive before testing.
